Elizabeth McQuern was born and raised in small-town Indiana, where her status as the youngest in a boisterous Catholic family of seven led her to seek solace in science fiction, comedy, computers, and other nerdly pursuits. She writes for five different blogs, produces Chicago Underground Comedy, is a graduate of the Second City Comedy Writing Program, and is the editor of The Bastion, which Chicago Magazine called "one of Chicago's best web sites." She writes, directs, and edits short comedy films with Bucket of Nerds, runs comedy writing workshops, and has been featured on Chicago Public Radio's "Hello Beautiful," NewCity Chicago, the Chicago Tribune, and NBC5 Chicago.
