Hannah Gansen was born, raised, and sold in Toddville, IA. In pursuit of electricity and performance opportunities, she packed up her 1989 Yamaha keyboard, moved to Chicago, and bought some size D batteries. Hannah has performed at several comedy spots in the Midwest, including the Lincoln Lodge, IO Chicago, Bad Dog Tavern, Playground Theatre, Cozmo’s Comedy Lounge, Penguin’s Comedy Club, and many more. In addition, she has also starred in the productions of many Chicago based theatres and film companies. Hannah is a co-founder of Spitfire (Chicago‘s comedy broad squad), a “grad of IO Chicago, and writer of many tunes that are both humorous and informative. She’ll make you laugh till you stop, tickling both you and the ivory. Technically, she tickles the plastic, for the keys of her keyboard are plastic. However, the phrase: “Man, she can really tickle the plastic”, could be confusing. Her humor has been described as bizarrely observational, dry, intelligent, off the wall, and the result of a chemically imbalanced mind. Save the manatees. And do not call her Savannah. Or Matthew.
